Bob Eccles is a big fan of the EcoRight community. Dr. Eccles also an Oxford professor and clean energy expert and this week’s guest with host Chelsea Henderson. Currently a visiting professor of Management Practice at the Said Business School at the University of Oxford, he’s engaged in research projects focused on corporate purpose, corporate reporting, engagement and stewardship, and private equity. 

Dr. Eccles has also been a visiting lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management and was a Berkeley Social Impact Fellow at the Haas School of Business at the University of California Berkeley. He recently co-authored the piece “China is no green energy darling,” which caught the attention of the entire republicEn.org team. Robert G. Eccles of Saïd Business School, University of Oxford is the author of a number of books on integrated reporting, sustainability and the role of business in society. His focus is on sustainability from both a company and investor perspective. Professor Eccles is also involved in a variety of initiatives to embed environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues in real world decision making. One of these is the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), of which he was the founding chairman. In 2018, Professor Eccles was selected by Barron’s as one of the top 20 influencers on ESG investing.
