CECP CEO – Investor Forum 2017
Aug 1, 2022
Dear Fellow Supporters of Integrated Reporting,
I’m excited to tell you about a new annual event taking place next month in New York City at which 12 public-company CEOs will present their companies’ long-term strategic plans to a group of the world’s foremost asset owners and asset managers, collectively representing over $15 trillion in AUM, who are interested in long-term value creation. This will be the first time, to my knowledge, that leading public company CEOs will present their long-term strategic plans for sustained growth, for integration and adoption of financially material ESG factors, and for closer engagement between investors and members of company boards of directors. These presentations will be audio streamed live and will be archived, available for all to listen to at their convenience.
This event is the CECP Strategic Investor Initiative’s (SII) inaugural CEO-Investor Forum, taking place from on February 27 from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. EST at the Time-Warner Center in New York City, commencing with a luncheon discussion moderated by the Financial Times between the CEOs of Vanguard and Citigroup A reception follows the Forum, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. This event is funded in part by the Ford Foundation and The Heron Foundation.
The Strategic Investor Initiative (SII) is a new campaign initiated by CECP, “The CEO Force for Good,” which is a CEO-led coalition representing over 150 CEOs and $15 trillion in investor AUM that believes that a company’s social and environmental strategy — how it engages with key stakeholders such as employees, communities, the planet, customers, and investors — is a key component of a company’s long-term success.
From financial performance metrics to integration of material environmental, social, and governance-related factors, each company’s long-term plan will reflect its unique situation, organizational and management structure, long and short-term challenges or opportunities, and material risks. Investors in attendance will have the opportunity to ask questions and to provide immediate feedback on how the plans presented meet investors’ criteria for long-term value creation.
Confirmed speakers include chief executives of iconic global corporations such as Allstate, Citigroup, Dow Chemical, IBM, Nielsen, Vanguard and others.
Attendance at the inaugural SII CEO-Investor Forum is limited and by invitation only. If you are an investor and are interested in attending this event, please contact Mark Tulay, Director, Strategic Investor Initiative, at (212) 825-1000 or via email: mtulay@cecp.co. If you are not an investor but you know an asset owner, asset manager, or buy-side analyst then please pass this e-mail along to them. Here is a link describing the event in more detail.
CECP plans to increase the number of its members who will make it an annual practice to present their long-term plans and for this to be a catalyst for all companies to do so.
Kind regards,
Bob
